Dubb is a video-first sales and marketing platform used by sales, customer success, and marketing teams to record and send trackable video messages, run email and SMS campaigns, book meetings, and keep a CRM current. Dubb AI is the agent layer on top of it.
The Slack app connects your Slack workspace to your Dubb account so that everything the platform can do becomes available as a conversation. Instead of switching to a browser tab to research an account, write a script, record a video, or update a record, a rep asks for it in the channel where the deal is already being discussed, and the answer lands in that same thread where the whole team can see it.
How the integration works, concretely. When you install the app, Dubb adds a bot user named @Dubb to your workspace and links that workspace to your Dubb account. From then on the bot listens for exactly three things: messages that @mention it in a channel it has been invited to, direct messages sent to it, and replies inside a thread it is already participating in. Anything else in your workspace is ignored. When a request comes in, Dubb adds an hourglass reaction to your message so you know it is working, reads the surrounding thread for context, performs the work on the Dubb platform, then replies in the thread. If the output is a file, such as a report, a call script, or a CSV of leads, it is uploaded back into the conversation. Separately, if you enable engagement alerts, Dubb posts a message to the channel you nominate whenever a tracked video is watched, an email is opened, or a landing page is viewed.
Ask in a channel
Mention @Dubb in any channel it has been invited to. It replies in a thread so the channel stays readable, and everyone on the deal sees the same answer.
Or work privately in a DM
Open a direct message with Dubb for anything you would rather not put in a shared channel, such as drafting a sensitive email or reviewing your own numbers.
It reads the thread
Pull Dubb into an existing thread and it catches up on the earlier replies first, so you do not have to restate the account name, the objection, or the deadline.
Send it files, get files back
Attach a call transcript, a lead list, or a screenshot and Dubb uses it as input. Generated reports, scripts, and exports are uploaded straight back into the conversation.

Get a Slack message the moment a prospect watches a Dubb video, opens an email, or views a tracked page, so the follow-up happens while you are still top of mind.

- “@Dubb write me a 45-second video script for this prospect.” Returns a script you can record on the Dubb platform, matched to the thread context.
- “@Dubb draft a follow-up email to everyone who watched the demo video but did not reply.” Returns a draft for review before anything is sent.
- “@Dubb log this call and create a follow-up task for Friday.” Updates the CRM record and schedules the task.
- “@Dubb how did last week's campaign perform?” Returns a performance summary, and a file if the numbers are better read as a table.

How to install Dubb AI in your Slack workspace.
Takes about two minutes. You need permission to install apps in your Slack workspace, and a Dubb account. If your workspace requires admin approval for new apps, your Slack admin will be asked to approve the request.
Click Add to Slack
Use the Add to Slack button at the top or bottom of this page. If you are already signed in to Dubb, the same button is available inside the product at Settings → Integrations → Slack.
Choose your workspace and review the permissions
Slack shows you exactly which permissions Dubb is asking for and which workspace it will be added to. Every permission we request, and the reason for it, is listed in the table below. Click Allow to continue.
Sign in to Dubb to link the workspace
You are returned to Dubb to sign in, or to start a free trial if you do not have an account yet. This step is what connects your Slack workspace to your Dubb workspace, so the assistant knows whose CRM, campaigns, and videos it is working with.
Invite @Dubb to the channels where you want it
Dubb can only see channels it has been explicitly invited to. In any channel, type /invite @Dubb, or open the channel's integrations settings and add the app. For private use, skip this and open a direct message with Dubb from the Apps section of your Slack sidebar.
Say hello
Post “@Dubb what can you do?” in that channel. Dubb replies in a thread with what it can help with, which is the fastest way to see the integration working.
Configuring and controlling the app.
Everything below is under your control after install, from Slack or from your Dubb settings.
- Which messages trigger Dubb. Only three: a message that @mentions the app in a channel it belongs to, a direct message to the app, and a reply in a thread the app is already part of. Dubb does not respond to ordinary channel chatter, and it does not read channels it has not been invited to.
- Which channels it can see. Add it with /invite @Dubb in the channels you want, and remove it with /remove @Dubb. Removing it from a channel immediately ends its access to that channel's history.
- Engagement alerts. Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack in Dubb to choose which channel receives video view, email open, and page view notifications, to pick which of those events you want, and to turn them off entirely.
- Who can use it. Any member of a channel Dubb is in can mention it. Dubb matches the Slack user to a Dubb user by email address, so actions that touch your CRM or send outreach run under that person's Dubb permissions rather than a shared account.
- Approval before anything goes out. Dubb drafts outreach in the thread for review. It does not send an email, SMS, or video to a customer as a side effect of a question.
- Disconnecting. Remove the app from your workspace under Slack → Settings & administration → Manage apps, or disconnect from the Dubb side at Settings → Integrations → Slack. Either one revokes the token and stops all access.
Every permission we ask for, and why.
Dubb requests bot-level permissions only. It never asks to act as you or to read anything on your behalf as a user.

⚠️ About the AI in Dubb AI
Dubb AI is powered by large language models, and it can be wrong. Research summaries, account briefs, email and video scripts, performance reports, and CRM suggestions are all generated output. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and they can look confident while being incorrect.
Always review what Dubb produces before you send it to a customer, put it in front of a prospect, or rely on it for a business decision. Dubb AI is an assistant, not a substitute for your own judgment. It drafts outreach for your approval rather than sending it on its own.
On your data: content Dubb reads from Slack is used only to carry out the request you made. Your data is not sold, not shared, and not used to train AI models. Questions before you install.
Do I need a paid Dubb plan?
No. New workspaces start with a 7-day free trial and 25,000 credits, and no credit card is required. A Dubb account is required, because the Slack app is an interface to your Dubb workspace rather than a standalone product.
Can Dubb read every message in my workspace?
No. Dubb only has access to conversations it has been added to, and it only acts on messages that mention it, direct messages, and replies in threads it is already part of. Remove it from a channel and its access to that channel ends immediately.
Will it send emails or videos to customers without me approving them?
No. Dubb drafts outreach in the thread and waits for you to approve it. Sending is an explicit step you take.
My Slack workspace requires admin approval for new apps. What happens?
Clicking Add to Slack submits a request to your Slack admins with the list of permissions. Once an admin approves it, you can complete the install and link your Dubb account.
Which CRMs and tools does it work with?
Dubb connects to widely used CRMs and sales tools including HubSpot, Salesforce, and Google and Microsoft calendars, plus a broad integrations library for other systems. If you want to confirm a specific tool before installing, ask us at support@dubb.com.
How do I remove it?
In Slack, go to Settings & administration, then Manage apps, find Dubb, and remove it. You can also disconnect from Dubb at Settings then Integrations then Slack. Either action revokes the access token.
