This blog post introduces a Covideo alternative, Dubb. See how Dubb provides many of the same features, and more so, for a better price. This video is brought to you by Dubb.
Below is a transcript of the video:
Hey, everyone, welcome back to dub support YouTube channel in
this video we’re talking about code video alternative dub. Now,
let me first start off by explaining why dub is going to be a really great alternative to go
video and now it’s a pretty bold claim. Co video is a great company, but I believe
dub is going to provide more functionality and more features and for a lower price.
So let’s go ahead and jump into what I mean. The first thing we’re talking about is
creation tools, so both both platforms have Chrome extensions.
Both platforms have mobile apps. Both platforms have some add ons. I
just believe Gus is going to be a little bit more advanced in each of those. So this is what
the Chrome extension looks like for come video, pop it open. You can record scream. Camera
or both the Pro, though there’s no pause there’s no notation there’s no
ability to resize the webcam. Real time editing features that
really make creating videos that are a little bit more annotated. A little bit. Pop
a little bit more. You can’t create those Co videos extension.
So here’s what the opposite looks like. What does Chrome extension
looks like so, if I click that guy open pretty similar except
for like I mentioned, it does allow me to have screen annotation. So I can
annotate the presentation, I can resize the webcam. And of course, I have a pause function.
I’m actually using dubs desktop recorder. You can see here to create this
video today and it has some of those real time controls. Like the webcam resize
pausing things like that. Okay, so that’s the creation tool. The next thing is customization,
so both platforms do offer you the ability to customize these landing pages
or the video pages on just what level of customization is going to be a little
bit different, so you see code video has some templates here that allows you to put some
buttons and things like that. And now here is what that looks
like when we look at that. So this is what a video page looks like for that. And
then this is what it looks like in the email so you can see it’s an animated GIF in the email.
And then it goes to a video page like this now with the they are going to provide more customization
custom email. Our custom video page templates are 250 dollars
for code video. Otherwise you have to use the ones that they offer. Now, the way it works with us
here’s what a dub video page looks like I’m. Going to have far more functionality from the
CTAs direct calendar integration. Video testimonial collection
native form so you can capture leads lots and lots
of different functionality with the CTAs that we’re not going to get with code video. Also, the playlist and
the branding of some of the elements are the same like uploading the logo. The contact information
but the playlist and the different types of CTAs are going to be unique. With dub there’s
also as I mentioned, when we are looking at these video pages, the
other thing is how these are being sent through. So I showed you what it looks like in a CO video
email which what Co video looks like an email, which is
the animated GIF there. And again, Doug just takes a little bit further, you can put that personalization on
it. So you can say video for first name has a time stamp with a button as a fallback. So
a little bit more personalization or a little bit more customization on the sun meals. And then, of
course, both platforms. Have we talked about the ability to
create the videos and also the ability to kind of customize the video pages. Now, both
also have some sending capabilities. However code videos only has
a simple email sequence builder so that’s what? This looks like email sequences. We
can build out a sequence of emails. Add a step, add
another email. And then a delay. And then another email, but that’s as basic
as the sequencing goes now with dub. What the automation looks like
is we can build these workflows out to really be as complex as we need them
to now here’s what that looks like here. You can see I can send an SMS,
so that’s a huge differences. You can send both text messages and emails using dubs
sequences or automation. So you can send a text message or an email. Then
you can add a delay or if then statement if they watch the video. If they didn’t
you can send them a new email or a different text message or down a different campaign or you can just
tag them for follow up. So lots of different functionality here
in the automation and we can also send out last. So I can send
one video to an enormous lists 1 17,000 you
can see specifically who watched and what percentage? So the same analytics are going to be provided by
Co video, but they are going to be limited to 1,000 per day and you’re only going to
be able to send them through their servers. If you want that same level of tracking whereas
with dub you’re going to be able to send them through any server. Okay, so just really quickly
here we’ve recapped or just to recap. We talked about the creation tools, the
Chrome extension and the mobile app. I didn’t cover the mobile app too heavily and anything we
didn’t cover in today’s video. There is a full length video that does a side by side comparison
between these two platforms in full detail. So definitely check that out. If
you need some more mobile app edge goes to dub Chrome extension
edge goes to dub realtime editing features multiple clips, lots
of different functionality here on the creation tools. And then the customization we
also have to give the edge to dub because it has more customization. We have complete custom landing pages,
which is what this looks like here. It actually didn’t show those so completely custom landing page
builders like this. You also have the generic landing pages you can build.
This is kind of like the the CO
video landing page that they include with the template. But then they have a completely.
We have a completely or dub as a completely custom bills are here and there’s also
email templates so you can send out really fancy templatized emails here’s what that standard
one looks like it’s similar to CO videos. But then here’s what a templatized email looks like has
your social icons, logos, some structure and formatting a
call to action buttons. So that also is included with dub. And then you can send these out through
the automations or their campaign tool. Okay, so we’ve talked about
how Deb has the edge in creation customization and in distribution.
And now lastly let’s just talk about pricing. So just looking at pricing. Here we see 5
88 per year or 69 dollars per month, building build monthly
and now with dub it’s going to be 3 84 per year or
40 dollars if build monthly. So that is significantly less
expensive. Almost half the price with
that considered all things considered actually, we talked really did a comparison
between every aspect of the platform. The creation, the customization
and a distribution. And it looks like dub takes an easy win
in all categories. Especially pricing where we’re about half the level of pricing. There
is one tier above this. That is really more for enterprise and that’s going to be the
same thing here for teams where they have a dedicated account manager, some strategy sessions and
that’s what’s included here. The account manager and also API
access to some custom integration. So if you’re on an enterprise team or a larger
team, you guys need more support. These two different flight plans or what? You’d be looking at we don’t have pricing
available for that, but it would be 99 dollars per month or eight dollars
per month. I paid for the year in advance for the Pro. Plus so like I
said, if you guys need more information about how these two platforms are comparable
definitely check out the full length video but I know if you’ve just
seen the information I provided here today, you will likely come to the same conclusion that I have. The
dev is going to provide more features for less cost.
