The BombBomb Essentials plan comes out to $29 per month or $299 per year if paid for in advance. That yearly plan offers you a 14% discount.

From the BombBomb Essentials plan, there is the BombBomb Plus plan. BombBomb says that this plan has “everything included in BombBomb Essentials, plus advanced integrations, mass sending, templates, team management tools, and front‑of‑the‑line customer service.” The mass sending is for up to 3500 contacts and you get additional features like an email composer, custom landing pages, team dashboards, and content sharing. Ultimately, this plan includes most of which BombBomb has to offer. BombBomb’s Plus plan comes out to $49 per month or $499 per year if you pay one year in advance. That comes out to a 15% discount. However, if you are getting this plan for more than five users, you will need to upgrade to the Enterprise plan.

Speaking of the Enterprise plan, this is the final plan that BombBomb has to offer. There is much less information on BombBomb’s website compared to the other plans. However, BombBomb states that this plan offers things like “premium team onboarding, education, quarterly business reviews, and a personal video success coach.” These are custom solutions for five users or more, so you will receive a more tailored solution for your needs. There is no pricing listed for the Enterprise plan.

First, I want to talk about a few differences in creation tools between BombBomb and Dubb. Whenever you go and create your video content, you want the process to be as simple and easy as possible. This is especially true if you consider yourself to be non-technical. If that’s the case, you may want to spend less time learning a new application and more time building real relationships with your prospects and customers. The ideal scenario is to log onto your tool and application and have the best and most seamless user experience possible. 

Therefore, whether you are a Dubb or BombBomb user, you want little to no friction when you are creating your video content. This is especially true when you are using both companies’ Chrome extensions and desktop applications. 

As far as the Chrome extensions, you will see that there are some pretty significant differences. With BombBomb’s Chrome extension, you will quickly see that you need to download a desktop-based recorder. Studies time and time again prove that a well-functioning and targeted CTA is a terrific way to increase your conversion rates and increase your bottom line. While BombBomb does offer CTAs with their plans, their CTA banners let you create a link to somewhere else. You have likely already seen the exit-intent feature when visiting some of your favorite websites. Simply put, an exit-intent module provides your audience with one more opportunity to click your CTA. As you are about to close your tab or window, you will notice a popup emerge. The popup often contains a line or two of text which explains the CTA one more time. Below that line of text is a button where you can execute the CTA. You also have the option of closing the exit-intent popup and proceeding with your day.

To be clear, the exit-intent module is an optional feature. If you have strong feelings against popups, then you don’t necessarily need to include an exit-intent module. Nobody is forcing you to do it.

It does this by allowing your targets to forego a text-based email response to your video message. Instead, your targets can respond to your video message with a video of their own via their computer or phone camera.

Reply With Video is a terrific feature that you can leverage in a variety of situations. For example, if you want to obtain video testimonials about your product or service, email recipients can easily send you a video with their commentary. If you want to obtain your own feedback for a new product or service, you can invite your targets to send you honest, forthright feedback through a video message. And if you want to just offer a casual way for your viewers to respond to your content, Reply With Video may be the way to go.

These are just several examples, but the fact remains that Dubb can empower your audience. Instead of having your audience respond via text, Reply With Video lets them send a quick 15 to 30-second video recording. And instead of making your audience search for a way to record video, attach it to a video, and send it to you, Reply With Video lets your audience easily and quickly send you video feedback. Playlist Feature

Another awesome feature that you’ll find on the Dubb platform is called the playlist feature. The playlist feature can help you keep your audience engaged and make it more likely that your audience members will become paying customers.

Video is so powerful because it is extremely engaging. This is especially true if the video is personalized for that specific audience. CTAs are great ways to move those audience members into and down your sales funnels. However, it isn’t the only way to provide value to your audience. You can essentially queue up another video (or videos) that will automatically play after your audience watches the initial video. 

You can use this feature in so many ways. As just one example, let’s say that you created a super quick, 15-second video for a new prospect that you just met. That video is just a quick thank you for the meeting and perhaps a reminder of what you and that person spoke about. While you have the choice of ending that interaction right there, you can also leverage the playlist feature. In this situation, you could queue up a longer video to follow that quick, 15-second video. That longer video can be a detailed look at your company’s product or service. It can include a collection of testimonials from some of your most satisfied customers. 

Whatever you choose to include, having a longer video can provide some much-needed context for your viewers. In other words, it is an outstanding opportunity to speak about your business, your colleagues, and how you can provide immense value in your audience’s lives. 

Critically, the playlist feature offers an underrated, yet important benefit. Most content creators decide to post their videos on YouTube. There isn’t anything inherently wrong with this. YouTube’s scale and reach make it a compelling option to host your videos. That said, one of the flaws of YouTube is that you can’t select the video that comes after your initial video. YouTube’s algorithm may choose a completely unrelated video. Even worse, it may recommend a competitor’s video to your viewers.

Now, I want to talk about Gmail add-ons for both BombBomb and Dubb. As I mentioned above, BombBomb has a Gmail integration. Dubb has one as well, but there are some key differences. 

Let’s step back for one minute. It’s important that you can send your video emails via the Gmail servers. This helps with email deliverability. It also helps you reduce your bounceback rates, thereby helping you increase your open rates.  

When you open up Gmail and hit the “Compose” button, you will see that they both include a little tool inside of Gmail. BombBomb has a power wheel tool and Dubb has a small button (which is a little less intrusive). When you click on either button, you get access to similar features (like access to your library and activity reporting). Overall, the functionality is almost identical. While there are a few more visible options with BombBomb’s Gmail add-on, Dubb offers a cleaner and simpler experience. 

Other Integrations

Speaking of the Gmail integration, I want to take a further dive into some of the differences with integrations between Dubb and BombBomb.

This is an important comparison point. Whenever you are adding a new piece of software to your current business systems, you want to make sure that it is both functional and a good fit. Both of these attributes need to exist. You want to ensure that the process is going to be seamless and that it will easily integrate with your other systems. This includes everything from your CRM to your email platform. If you do not have this accessibility, it can cause a lot of chaos within your business. 

For instance, if you are a LinkedIn user, you will be happy to know that Dubb offers a fantastic integration. LinkedIn is deemed to be the world’s professional social network for a reason. Upon clicking on a new or existing message, you will see a small Dubb icon. Once you click on that icon, you will have instant access to your library. If you choose to insert a video in any LinkedIn message, you will also see that an animated preview is automatically generated.

Sending and Receiving Emails

Dubb and BombBomb also have a key difference in the sending and receiving of emails. The difference lies in what is happening behind the scenes. If you were to send a video email via BombBomb, the video will actually be sent from BombBomb’s servers. This may seem benign on the surface, but the fact remains that sending your videos through BombBomb’s servers substantially increases the chances of your video going to your viewer’s spam inbox. This is obviously a poor outcome, as your user, in all likelihood, does not often check his or her spam box. 

All of your hard work in creating compelling video content, identifying a target audience, and sending your video email to that audience will essentially be for naught.

BombBomb recognizes this reality and has gone to some length to disguise the origin of the email. However, it isn’t foolproof, so you would be accepting the risk of your video emails landing in your user’s spam folder.

With Dubb, there is a different way. After you create your video and wish to send it with Dubb, you have the option of sending your video emails from whichever email that suits you best. In the end, there is a lower likelihood that your video email is going to land in spam.

Now, let’s take a second and talk about automation and workflows. Nevertheless, even if you are creating video content for the first time, you will want to take advantage of automation when distributing your videos and engaging with your audiences.

Along with this, you can automatically create deals, tasks, and remove or add tags. 

Ultimately, you can leverage very complex automation using Dubb’s automation tools. This is a major difference between BombBomb and Dubb. Not only do you get to leverage an extremely advanced level of automation, but you can do so on an affordable plan.

Those features include unlimited storage, unlimited videos, HD video, a custom logo, custom subdomain, team management, advanced reporting, and Slack notifications. This plan is most similar to BombBomb’s $29 Essentials plan. Dubb’s Support Pro plan doesn’t have Dubb’s built-in sending capabilities. However, you do have the ability to create a branded video with a CTA below it. Ultimately, the Support Pro plan comes out to $10 per month or $96 per year if paid for one year in advance.  

Where things get interesting is when we compare both platforms’ pro plans. For BombBomb, that plan is the Plus plan. For Dubb, it is the Pro plan. Both of these plans give you the bulk of features that both platforms have to offer. Like I said above, BombBomb’s Plus plan doesn’t necessarily include everything that you would expect. Specifically, if you are considering a solution for more than five users, you will need to invest in BombBomb’s Enterprise plan. With dubb’s Pro plan, you will see that it includes everything that the platform has to offer. This includes everything in the Starter plan, along with unlimited storage and HD videos, a custom logo, subdomain and branding, calendar integrations, CTAs, playlists and presets, Dubb’s CRM, advanced reporting, and more. This plan comes out to $40 per month or $384 per year if you are paying for one year in advance. 

The only things that you don’t get on Dubb’s Pro plan are automations and a dedicated one-on-one account representative. Those features are available in Dubb’s Pro Plus plan. Dubb’s Pro Plus plan is $99 per month or $960 per year if paid for one year in advance. This would be more equivalent to the Enterprise plan that is found with BombBomb. 

Any way that you slice it, Dubb is going to be significantly less expensive than BombBomb. Moreover, there are significant price breaks if you have five or more users with Dubb.
