Upon opening your video, you will need to find the particular points that you want to edit, highlight those areas, press a command to remove that clip, and ensure that the remainder makes sense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this is a tried and true way of editing video, Descript turns this process on its head. Specifically, Descript makes it much easier to find the portions that you want to edit and to edit those portions extremely quickly. It does this by letting you make edits to the automatically-generated text. In other words, it is a text-first editing approach that makes it extremely easy to find certain aspects of your video that you want to edit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This text-first editing approach makes sense, as Descript started with an initial focus on podcasts. Through Descript\u2019s text-first editing approach, you can get much more editing done faster. We have only completed a few test projects with Descript. That being said, we have found it to be a really novel way to create content. It\u2019s that easy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ultimately, Descript is a really cool way to edit dialogue-focused videos or audio-only podcasts. To get started, I\u2019d say that you need a decent laptop or computer. This way, you\u2019ll make sure that the software works properly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for pricing, Descript offers <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.descript.com\/pricing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">four different plans<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first plan is completely free.
