variety. We are here with Patrick in P o authority. We had some questions about using the video through LinkedIn and best practice and things like that. So I’m let’s get into it one second here. Shut off. A little banner looking
Speaker 0:
person notes. Um, it’s funny. I made some notes for myself.
Speaker 0:
Talk to you about them where peace papers I put on the wall
Speaker 0:
roots and willingness on that. Okay,
Speaker 1:
All right. So let’s let’s jump right in where we started.
Speaker 0:
I guess the linked in stuff I posted on LinkedIn And I think you backed up behind me and said like There’s a better way to do this, so to speak. That’s what I assumed you were going at. Okay? And then I said, All right, let’s let’s show me how to do it.
Speaker 1:
I don’t
Speaker 1:
Let’s jump right in. Then what we’ll do is I’m gonna go over the fool, um, kind of linked in integration here. Okay,
Speaker 1:
So the way that our integration works, Islington
Speaker 1:
is a couple of places. One is it’s gonna be in direct messages. So if you’re in sales navigator in mail and direct messages, you have a little dove icon in here cause you to select your existing videos. If you take any video you’ve already recorded, just click it. You can put their first name on it. This will show up in the person in the U. R L. So I always recommend to take advantage of that. I, um
Speaker 1:
if you want to track it, you can enter their email. If you don’t know their email, you can put in a fake email as a placeholder. And that way it will still tell you when that person opened the video.
Speaker 1:
So that’s what both these options,
Speaker 0:
if I’m in linked in,
Speaker 0:
I don’t I don’t know there. I really don’t know their email right from
Speaker 1:
that. That’s that’s what I just just mentioned. If you don’t know that, you know, you can put a fake email in there as a placeholder. So like if I wanted to send the video to John O’Brien and I have his email, I would just put John O’Brien it O’Brien dot com. And it doesn’t matter if it’s what it’s doing is it’s adding that email to this send so that it can identify who’s watching it. It’s just putting like a stamp on it.
Speaker 1:
And when that stamp gets viewed, it’s gonna tell you. Hey, someone viewed that stamp. Does that make sense? Yeah. Okay, so as I mentioned anything to you don’t actually need their email. You can put a placeholder there. Um, and it’ll tell you when that person with that placeholder watched that video.
Speaker 0:
And if you don’t do it, you’re just taking away the ability to like
Speaker 1:
You won’t that what becomes important is when you are sending the same video to multiple people. So if you’re sending one video to five people, you would want to enter their email for a placeholder for each of those five cents, because you want to know when. Barbara When David When John opens it.
Speaker 1:
If you’re creating custom videos for each person, it’s not as big of a deal because you’ll know that video was just for them. And if it got watched, it was them who watched it. Right? Okay,
Speaker 1:
if you are sending this recycled content, you’re sending the same video to more than one person. That’s when you want. Make sure you’re entering contacts Track.
Speaker 1:
Next thing here is when we insert this video, you’ll see it says a little copy message says Video copied you, Earl.
Speaker 1:
And then you’ll notice it doesn’t actually put the video. It doesn’t look like it’s putting the video in the email. You’ll see a little message and then the link with the personalization right? You won’t actually be able to send the cedar because you actually have to delete the write a message thing that’s in there Now you’ll actually be able to hit. Send, um,
Speaker 1:
after I put somebody’s name is actually
Speaker 0:
right
Speaker 0:
from two. Like,
Speaker 1:
Yeah, I believe the little pre written message that’s there. The other thing is, this is what it will look like before you sent it. But once you send it over, that’s when the thumbnail and everything actually becomes visible,
Speaker 1:
which you can see.
Speaker 0:
I feel like mine did not when I did it.
Speaker 1:
Okay, so let’s take Let’s take a look at that on the your end of this Destroyed
Speaker 0:
right here for years to the right. Such a little video. I don’t think it went to like the normal Dubb platform.
Speaker 1:
Okay. Okay. Well, I guess we will take a second. Look at that here. I’m at the end.
Speaker 1:
So This is what it looks like before you send it.
Speaker 1:
This is what it’s gonna look like after you send it. So right now this isn’t hyperlinked or anything
Speaker 0:
true. So Okay, maybe I
Speaker 0:
and Lincoln’s weird when you send stuff. Sometimes you don’t always kind of, like, seeing or something, you know?
Speaker 1:
Yeah, connection requests. And they haven’t approved it yet. It’s It’s gonna be a different story.
Speaker 1:
So, yeah, this this I’ll go into connection requested one second as well. So yeah, this is in a direct message with somebody that’s already a connection. Um, okay, Yeah, This is what it looks like. Pryor is tending. Once you’ve sent it over, it will hyperlink that text and it’ll give you a still thumbnail, which is gonna be the
