Today we’re going to talk about Bomb Bomb pricing vs Dubb Pricing.

If you’re familiar with video marketing platforms—and if you’re reading this, congratulations, you are now—you might have heard of the platform Bomb Bomb.

In short, it’s a similar video marketing platform to Dubb that allows you to send video messages to personal and business contacts.

As an opening disclaimer—and to address the elephant in the room—yes, we here at Dubb are going to be a little biased—this is our competitor, ya know? However, this article is not meant to be a knock against Bomb Bomb as a platform.

Although we’ve never tried it, in doing the research to write this article, it seems like a well-made platform, and if you’re in the beginning stages of finding a digital vendor, we encourage you to give it a try.

Our only concern is less about performance…and more about value

Are you getting the best bang for your buck?

That’s the only bottom line we care about—for your business and ours. So, let’s explore it together.

Now, let’s begin…

Bomb Bomb Pricing vs Dubb Pricing – Breaking Down the Differences

As we mentioned above, there are bound to be several key differences between Bomb Bomb and Dubb, however, today we’re going to focus on one of the most important factors for growing businesses…the price.

In this section, we’ll break down what you get for each price point, and how they stack up against each other.

To start, let’s start with…

Price & Features

Bomb Bomb

As you can see, Bomb Bomb has two primary plans:

  • Basic Plan: $29.99
  • Plus Plan: $588

Note: Technically they have a third that starts at $2,000 but it’s meant for real estate and mortgages, so for this exercise, we’re going to ignore it.

Right off the bat, you can see for yourself that’s a pretty big jump between the basic plan and the plus plan.

For now, let’s focus on the basic plan.

The “Basic” Plan

Now, to be fair, in most circumstances the “freemium” version is a stripped-down version of the real platform, and it’s designed to give you just enough of a taste that you’ll want the full unlocked features (i.e. Linked Premium).

However, with Bomb Bomb, they’ve eschewed the freemium model—don’t worry, we at Dubb, got rid of it, too—and their starting subscription level is designed to give you a near full-access experience for $30 bucks.

That’s pretty good, actually.

Especially, when you take a look at the features.

A screenshot of Bomb bomb features

To translate, the features for the basic plan—the bulleted list on the left—allows you to record video from your device (mobile or desktop), record your screen on desktop, hosts, and encodes your videos, gives you notifications, and helps you schedule your videos out.

Sounds fair, right? Those are the basic features you need.

However, here’s what missing—and it’s a big one.

You don’t receive analytics tracking!

If you’ve read any of our other posts, you’d know that being able to track your video messages’ open and click rate is the entire point of video marketing.

If you can’t do that, you’re just sending your contacts video links and crossing your fingers.

And not to beat a dead horse, but let’s face it if that’s the case, you can just record a video on your phone or laptop right now and send them for free.

Unlike the “Plus” plan, Bomb Bomb’s basic plan also doesn’t mention how many contacts you can send your videos to.

It also doesn’t include automation, which means you’ll likely be sending out each video—who knows how many—to your contact list by hand.

Another key difference is the Google Chrome extension. It’s not included in the Basic Plan. You can only get access to these—pretty important—extensions via the $588 upgrade.

The “Plus” Plan

Okay, now for the “Plus” plan. It includes everything within the basic plan and gives you access to the added features we mentioned above like Google Chrome, 3,500 contacts (per month), analytics tracking, and even support systems like phone contact lines and online coaching.

Okay, even we can admit those are pretty nice perks.

It’s important to have help when adopting any new system—particularly when introducing a new component to your sales process.

So, let’s see what Dubb has to offer.

Dubb:

A pricing chart for Dubb

Dubb has three main plans:

  • Support Plan: $10 (Equivalent to Bombbomb Video)
  • The Pro Plan: $40
  • The Pro Plus Plan: $99

Note: Dubb offers a free two-week trial of a basic plan—Bomb Bomb does the same with its own basic plan—but since we’re discussing longterm subscriptions, we’ll only include it here for the features it references.

Special Note: Although we offer a 20% discount on annual subscriptions, for the sake of a fair comparison, we’ll only be using the features from both individual plans of Bomb Bomb and Dubb at their monthly rates.

The “Pro” Plan

Pulling the basic features from the Starter plan, for $10 more than the Bomb Bomb’s basic plan, our Pro plan gives you video recording from any device (on-screen and off), analytics tracking, up to 10,000 contacts, custom branding for your video’s landing page, call-to-action buttons, and management options.

Looking at the platforms head to head, here are the breakout differences between the two most price-comparable plans (Bomb Bomb’s Basic and Dubb’s Pro):

    • Contact List:
      • Bomb Bomb: 3,500 contacts
      • Dubb: 10,000 contacts
  • Winner: Dubb
    • Real-time Editing on Mobile App
      • Bomb Bomb: No
      • Dubb: Yes
  • Winner: Dubb
    • Customizable Page Elements
      • Bomb Bomb: No
      • Dubb: Yes
  • Winner: Dubb

We don’t mean to cherry-pick features here, but in truth, these are the only areas where both platforms are congruous in features—at least at the basic level.

Moving on to Bomb Bomb’s Plus vs Dubb’s Pro Plus levels, the key differences begin to diverge more clearly.

The “Pro Plus” Plan

Here’s where the discrepancy in price really begins to pronounce itself.

But first, let’s examine the features of Dubb’s “Pro Plus” plan.

At the price point of $99 per month, the “Pro Plus” plan offers a personal account manager, a 50,000-person contact list, phone support, custom integrations, scripts, and email templates, and additional API access.

All that for less than $100 dollars.

To supply those resources to your sales and customer service teams, all you need to do is find how many staff members you want to equip and multiply it by one hundred.

On the other hand, Bomb Bomb’s “Plus” plan doesn’t offer the same perks yet comes in at a cost 5X higher on individual plans.

Add up that $588 dollar cost ($468 for groups of two or more) and you’re paying much more to get a lot less.

Additional Considerations

A video of Dubb's CTA functionality

Aside from the differences in included features, there are other areas to consider when comparing the two video marketing platforms.

For example…

Integrations

Integrations simply refer to platform compatibility with other applications. For instance, one of Dubb’s integrations is YouTube, meaning that Dubb allows you to pull a video from YouTube and send it through the platform.

In the case of Bomb Bomb, the platform sports 50+ integrations including Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, and SalesForce.

Dubb, on the other hand, offers 84.

Discounts and Special Offers

In regards to discounts and special offers, Bomb Bomb offers roughly 20% off for team subscriptions (two or more). Unfortunately, however, there are no discounts or deals on individual plans.

By now, you should know where this is going…

Take a look at Dubb’s pricing and you’ll see a 20% reduction in monthly fees on any account that subscribes annually—that’s for individuals and teams.

And finally…

Overall Value

In terms of value, aside from the largest factor of price, you simply get more features with Dubb. From the added contact lists and custom landing pages to the out-of-the-box analytics, even Dubb’s entry-level plan equips you with the tools you need to grow your business.

And thankfully, at a much lower cost.

Although Bomb Bomb is no doubt a well-made video marketing platform, when it comes to Bomb Bomb pricing vs Dubb pricing—particularly when it comes to the overall value of the latter’s added perks—we believe you’ll get the best bang for your buck with us.

The Final Verdict

Dubb, of course!

We hope we’ve been fair in this assessment. And again, we encourage you to try Bomb Bomb for yourself and make up your own mind in terms of the value of the video marketing platform you choose to go with.

However, like any business, at Dubb we work hard to understand competition, the value they offer the market, and to improve our services for the benefit of our customers. Whether it’s price, functionality, or value, we’re here to help you grow your business and strengthen your relationships using video marketing.
