The killing of George Floyd has shaken much of our country to its core. Millions of people have taken to the streets in the past several weeks, ranging from protests in Washington DC and New York to tiny towns across the country. It’s safe to say that our country is at a true inflection point. Because of this, all individuals and companies will need to think about how they will respond to the #blacklivesmatter movement.

To dig into this topic, we are happy to share our interview with Jessi Johnson. Jessi is a digital entrepreneur, writer, and lecturer at the University of Southern California. She is an extremely intelligent person and has put a lot of thought into the issues that are discussed throughout the episode.

Some of the topics that Dubb Founder Ruben Dua and Jessi discuss include the origins of Blackout Tuesday, why it is important for all of us to listen right now, how our companies and ourselves as people can evolve during this time, how to be empathetic and sensitive during these times, and how to effect positive change. It is a timely and necessary conversation as we all seek positive change in our communities and our country.
