I’m sure that over the past few months, you have seen a huge increase in the number of articles written about artificial intelligence. Most of the buzz has been around ChatGPT, which is a chatbot (launched by OpenAI) that can do everything from writing a sonnet to fixing your code. Even in its short life, ChatGPT has already done some jaw-dropping things (like passing parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam).

Putting that aside, I’m sure you are thinking of ways that you can apply artificial intelligence to your own business. After all, you are probably trying to find new clients, convert warm prospects, and generate more sales. We all are, right?

I’m here to tell you that there are tools that you can use right now to accomplish these goals.

Granted, it’s impossible to go over every AI application out there. What I want to do instead is talk about some of the highest-output applications for sales professionals and marketers. Get ready to take your game to the next level!

Topic Generation

AI can be a fantastic assistant in helping you think of topic ideas for your sales and marketing content. It can help us get out of our shells and create blog posts and videos that we may not have necessarily created.

One of my favorite tools to generate topic ideas is Google’s Keyword Planner. It’s really simple. All you need to do is input your keywords and you will receive keywords that are relevant to your business. These keywords are like gold nuggets, providing a jumping-off point for your blog posts, YouTube videos, and other content. If you don’t want to use Google’s Keyword Planner, you can use other tools from companies like HubSpot, WordStream, Semrush, and Ahrefs.

Using the Google Keyword Planner to research "video marketing"

The bottom line? These tools use artificial intelligence and machine learning to help you find keywords that convert. From there, you just need to create compelling content around that keyword and distribute it to your chosen audience.

Content Generation

From generating content ideas, let’s talk about actually creating that content.

Before that, though, a disclaimer. You need to be careful generating copy based on AI. While AI is already impressive, it’s still not that great at creating the final content itself—it still needs a human to massage it into life.

I like to think of it as a starting point. Instead of getting a blog post from ChatGPT and pasting it onto your company blog, it is better to get content ideas and proceed from there.

If you still want to rely on AI for your organic content, however, there are several other things you can do. You can have ChatGPT create an outline for your blog post or video. It can even help you with some simple research tasks, offering statistics and data on subjects that you want to discuss. Tools like ChatGPT can be like your intern: they can gather some basic information for you as you create your content.

Just remember: AI tools like ChatGPT aren’t meant to do all the heavy lifting for you. They’re just there to give you a push in the right direction. So don’t rely on them for the final product, but feel free to use them as a starting point.

Text-to-Audio

Let’s take a moment to talk about a technology that’s not exactly new, but it can make your content creation life a whole lot easier.

I’m talking about text-to-audio technology.

This technology is a real lifesaver, with two fantastic use cases.

First, you can use text-to-audio technology to generate original content for your social channels. This is especially helpful when creating YouTube videos. All you need to do is type in your desired text and the software will generate audio for you. From there, you can combine that audio with video footage to create dynamic video content.

The second use case is all about translation. Artificial intelligence is getting good enough that you can enter a block of text into a text box and receive an accurate translation in an entirely different language. This is a game-changer for companies that are creating content for multilingual audiences. With just a few clicks of your mouse, you can get your content in front of consumers (and potential customers) all around the world.

Text-to-Video

Finally, AI is making some terrific advancements in taking some inputted text and creating a video from that text. There are some companies (like Synthesia) that take the text you input and have an extremely realistic avatar read the script. It is really impressive technology that you can try for yourself.

A huge benefit of text-to-video technology is that you can create personalized videos at scale. Instead of creating quick, hyper-personalized videos for each of 1000 prospects (which could take days), you can create those same videos in a fraction of the time. It makes you much more efficient and helps you focus on other pressing tasks on your to-do list.

I’d say one more thing: if you are debating whether to create your own video from scratch or delegate the entire process to AI, I would probably tell you to go with the former. At the same time, if you have a specific need and AI can directly serve that need, then go ahead and use some of the fantastic tools that are out there.

Follow the Data

Ultimately, the future of AI is uncertain. In just a few months, there may be another jaw-dropping tool that changes the way that we get things done.

No matter what happens, I urge you to be data-driven when using these AI-enabled tools. Don’t hesitate to look at your analytics to see what is and isn’t working. From there, avoid what isn’t working and double down on what is working. While it may take some time, this type of feedback loop will help you create more compelling content, build a stronger community, and generate more sales.

From here, I highly encourage you to get started. Sign up for an AI tool like ChatGPT and see if it can help you generate some content ideas. Or head on over to Google’s Keyword Planner and find a list of keywords that you can implement in your new videos or blog posts. The future is there for the taking, so don’t hesitate to get started today.

How Dubb Can Help

At Dubb, we have created an artificial intelligence tool of our own. Called CAIRA, it is an AI-driven real-time feedback assistant that can help you improve your communication and persuasiveness. When you upload a video to Dubb, CAIRA analyzes your use of language based on nine levels of data—cadence, repetition, fillers, positivity, persuasiveness, empathy, slang, profanity, and jargon.

There’s also VERA, our AI-powered text-to-video tool that lets you turn text into a dynamically generated video with visible waveforms. VERA is the best solution for when you want to communicate a message but are only capable of producing text-based information. It transforms plain old text into visually appealing videos that prospects and clients are more likely to appreciate.
