Using a CNAME, or Custom Domain, will enable your videos to have custom URLS (https://xyz.yourdomain.com).
In some cases, you can increase your deliverability rates with a Custom Domain, or CNAME for your videos.
Many users opt out of this feature because they want to leverage the Dubb brand name to increase trust and have people feel more comfortable clicking on a link within the email and watching a video on a Dubb video landing page.

Be aware some cybersecurity tools are very strict and the list of approved domains is much smaller than the list they allow. If a company is using this type of security, you may not be able to deliver emails to them regardless of content.

Setting up CNAME

Prerequisite: You must already own your own domain.
CNAME is only available as a separate subscription.
You can subscribe here: https://dubb.com/settings/upgrade/custom-domain

Step 1. Setup your CNAME in your registrar with these settings:

CNAME: video(or your desired subdomain).yourdomain.com (e.g. video.example.com or watch.example.com)

Points to(is an alias of)/Text: cname.dubb.com
Below are examples of how names should be configured in several common Domain providers.

PLEASE NOTE: Before attempting to configure your CNAME domain on the Dubb website. Please make sure your CNAME settings appear correctly here.

Make sure to enter your desired subdomain and “DNS Lookup” in the drop down button.

This should produce results like this:

Godaddy DNS Settings

Namecheap DNS Settings

Step 2. Visit the team page in your account Settings > Team

Enter your custom domain (e.g. video.heather.com)

Please allow up to 24 hours for your sub-domain to propagate.

Below is an example of how you should configure your custom domain inside of Dubb.

The green checkmark to the right of the Custom Domain field is confirmation that it is set up properly.

If you are seeing a red X next to the custom Domain field, your DNS settings are not properly configured.
