Ways to Record Videos on Dubb

Ultimately, there are several different ways of recording video content on Dubb. One way isn’t necessarily better than the other. Really, what you have here are a variety of tools in a toolkit. One tool may be more appropriate in certain circumstances versus others.

While I offer some recommendations below, you may want to experiment with all three of these tools in different situations. Think about the videos that you want to create and see which one of the tools speaks most to that preference. Then, go forth and create. Once you do that, see how the process went and how your audience reacted to your videos. Like creating any other type of content, you will want to create quickly, analyze the data that is given to you, and iterate. It is a process, yet a process that can create massive value for you and your organization.

Recording on Dubb’s Website

To kick this off, let’s talk about recording video content on the Dubb website. What you are going to want to do here is visit dubb.com, log in to your account, and visit your Dubb dashboard. From there, you will see a large plus button on the top right part of the screen. Go ahead and click on that. Once you do that, you will arrive at the video recording menu.

You will notice that you have two options to create a video. The first option lets you upload a video that is already on your device. The second option lets you create a brand new video with your camera. The first option is pretty self-explanatory. If you have a video and want to leverage all of the sales and marketing features that Dubb has to offer, you will want to upload it to Dubb. The second option lets you record a video using your computer’s camera. On this screen, you will see that you can select your video quality, microphone, and camera. Choose the settings as you see fit. Once you have done that, you can go ahead and click on the red record button on the video preview.

Side note: if this is the first time that you are visiting this page, just take note that you will likely see a popup that asks for permission to access your camera and microphone. Make sure that you grant permission before proceeding from here.

If you are in the middle of recording and want to pause, you can simply press the pause button on the video. You can also discard your video by clicking on the red X button. Once you are finished recording with this method, you can click on the checkmark to upload your video to Dubb.

Ultimately, you can record great sales and marketing videos using this desktop recorder. Granted, it is probably best if you are recording your video from your desk or some other stationary position. If you want to record a selfie video from your desk, this could be the most attractive option. Whatever the case may be, if you want to start recording with as few hurdles as possible, you may want to proceed this way.

Dubb’s Chrome Extension

The next way to record videos through Dubb is through the Dubb Chrome extension. You can download the Chrome extension (it’s free) by clicking here. Once you download the Chrome extension, you will want to close and open the Chrome browser. Then, you will see a small Dubb icon on the top right part of your screen. Go ahead and click on that icon.

Once you do that, you will see a variety of options. For starters, Dubb gives you the option of recording your full screen, the current tab, and recording video content using only your camera. Like the Dubb website, you can also upload a video that you have already recorded.

But let’s take a step back. One of the cooler features of the Dubb Chrome extension is that you can record your screen. Screen recording videos are fantastic tools to efficiently display complex ideas. There are so many different use cases here. For instance, let’s say that you have been chatting with a warm prospect and want them to sign a contract. What you can do is pull up the contract on your computer and create a screen recording. In that screen recording, you can scroll down the contract and point out some of the more notable terms and conditions. Using Dubb’s annotation tool, you can also underline, circle, and otherwise draw on your screen. It is a great way to highlight certain parts of your screen and ensure that your viewers are noticing them.

You can also use a screen recording to target prospects at the top of your sales funnel. You can do this by pulling up the profile’s LinkedIn page, setting it as your background, and sending a personalized message to that prospect. You can say something like, “Hey, I pulled up your LinkedIn page and noticed that we have some connections in common. I also believe that my company’s product or service can help you reach your goals. Let’s connect and chat some more.” This is an extremely generic message, but it shows what you can do with these tools.

In the end, the Dubb Chrome extension is a great way to record videos for audiences at all parts of your sales funnels. At the very least, I encourage you to download the Chrome extension and experiment with some screen recording videos. I’m sure that you will be impressed.

One final point here: using Dubb, you can directly record in the add-ons and integrations that Dubb offers. For example, if you have a Gmail account, there is a Dubb add-on that lets you record directly within Gmail. We also offer integrations for many different social networks (LinkedIn, for instance), CRMs (like Salesforce), and more. Also, if you are noticing an error message saying that your camera does not support this quality, I recommend that you uninstall the Chrome extension, clear your cache, and then reinstall the extension. This is true if you are trying to record using the Gmail add-on, LinkedIn add-on, and any other Dubb add-on. You may need to grant permission again to let Dubb access your camera and microphone, so keep this in mind.

The Dubb Mobile App

Finally, let’s talk about the Dubb mobile app. The Dubb mobile app is the final way that you can create content within the Dubb ecosystem. You can find the Dubb mobile app for iOS by clicking here and the Android version by clicking here.

The mobile app has some very unique recording functionality. For instance, using the Dubb mobile app, you can record a sales video in clips and splice them together in the editing process. You can also add music, text overlays, and emojis to your video content. Better yet, once you are done recording and editing, you can quickly upload your video to the Dubb website and create a Dubb action page.

So when would you want to use the Dubb mobile app? Ultimately, I think that it is a fantastic resource for creating videos when you are away from your desk. For instance, let’s say that you are at an industry conference. You can take out your phone, open the Dubb mobile app, and create a video explaining your five key takeaways from visiting the conference. Alternatively, you can use the Dubb mobile app to record video testimonials. If you are visiting with a satisfied customer, you can ask them to spend a few moments speaking about how your product, service, and/or company changed their life. You can even use the Dubb mobile app to create a selfie video on your way to work. The choice is yours.

While you will probably want to use the Dubb mobile app when you are recording on the go, you can use the mobile app to record wherever you are. When you are recording, however, make sure that you are providing the most value possible. Don’t get hung up on making sure that the video looks as “clean” and “professional” as you’d like. In fact, one of the more interesting things in today’s world is that “professional” videos are authentic and delivered from the heart. Instead of hiring expensive actors and spending weeks on a script, professional videos are about adding value and showing how your product or service can change the viewer’s life. Therefore, when you are creating video content (whether on the Dubb mobile app or any other method), make sure that you are authentic and leading with value. Your audience will thank you.

Going Forward and Creating Dubb Videos

As you can see, Dubb offers you several fantastic ways to create stellar video content for your audiences. From Dubb’s mobile app to the Dubb Chrome extension, you have the power to create compelling, valuable, and converting videos for any type of viewer.

At this point, I recommend that you move forward and start creating some videos. If you are nervous about sending a video to a prospect, go ahead and create a video for yourself. Use the Dubb mobile app to create a quick selfie video. From there, upload it to Dubb and include any type of feature that you would want on your Dubb action pages. If you are more comfortable, start creating and sending videos to your targeted audiences. By being proactive, you will be in a fantastic position to accomplish your sales and marketing goals. I wish you the best of luck!
