However, we can assure you our rationale is solid.

BombBomb Pricing vs Dubb Pricing – A Closer Look at the Key Differences

Dubb Creative Director Walks Past a Building

Like we said before, there are significant differences between BombBomb and Dubb, but today we’re focusing on price.

Throughout this section, we’ll be taking a look at each subscription plan in BombBomb’s pricing vs Dubb’s pricing and how they measure up in value.

Let’s start with BombBomb…

Price & Features

BombBomb

A screenshot of Bomb Bomb pricing

From the chart above, you can see that BombBomb has two primary price plans.

  • Basic Plan: $29.99
  • Plus Plan: $588

Special Note: It’s important to note that BombBomb has a third tier of their subscription plan that starts out at $2,000 per month. However, this plan is meant for real estate and mortgages, so for this exploration, we’ll be leaving it out.

Woah! That’s a big jump isn’t it.

Effectively that separates its users its two separate categories:

  • Individuals such as marketers and salespersons trying to increase their lead conversion
  • Large businesses and enterprise-level accounts

This unfortunately means that as a standard user, you may be missing out on significant tools and support if you’re not on the “Individual Plus” plan.

Let’s focus on the basic plan, for now.

The “Basic” Plan

Although many video marketing platforms employ a “freemium” version of their services, these tend to be useless, stripped-down versions of the real platform that more often than not, neglect the collection of useful analytical data.

BombBomb in this case has ignored this urge—barring a two-week trial of their services—and instead starts their true service offerings with their $30 “Basic” plan.

Note: Along with BombBomb, we here at Dubb have eschewed the truly “freemium” model and instead offer a near-fully-fledged version of our services on a two-week trial.

This basic plan is pretty good, too, actually.

Especially, when you take a look at the features.

A screenshot of Bomb bomb features

Effectively all those features (left side) mean that you can record video from your device (mobile or desktop), record your screen from a desktop, host and encode your videos, get notifications, and schedule your videos out.

Sounds good, right?

But there’s one thing missing here and it’s a pretty big deal.

There’s NO marketing customization.

Or at least none that’s mentioned.

When sending your message to a prospective client, it’s obvious to say this but branding is important.

Your branding.

In the case of some video marketing platforms, you can send your message to prospective clients but a big fat watermark of the video platform’s logo will be stamped on it.

And that just isn’t an attractive look that establishes your brand and authority as a professional to do business with.

Also, unlike their “Plus” plan, BombBomb’s basic plan doesn’t reference how many contacts you can send your videos to.

It also doesn’t include automation, which means you could be sending out each video—who knows how many—to your contact list by hand.

Another important difference is the lack of a Google Chrome extension on BombBomb’s basic plan. It’s not included. Which means you’ll only be able to record and send videos on Gmail after you’ve started paying $588 a month.

Now, on to BombBomb’s “Plus” plan.

The “Plus” Plan

Looking at BombBomb’s “Plus” plan, you can see that it includes everything in the basic plan granting access to the added features we’ve talked about earlier such as Google Chrome, 3,500 contacts (per month), analytics tracking, and even support systems like phone contact lines and online coaching.

Admittedly, those are nice perks, too.

Any new system that’s added to a potential sensitive sales/marketing princess should be done with the guiding support of the platform.

But…let’s see what Dubb has to offer.

Dubb:

A pricing chart for Dubb

Dubb has two main plans:

  • The Pro Plan: $40 (ouch—yeah we know, it’s more expensive)
  • The Pro Plus Plan: $99

Special Note: Although we offer a 20% discount on annual subscriptions, for the sake of a fair comparison, we’ll only be using the features from both individual plans of BombBomb and Dubb at their monthly rates.

The “Pro” Plan

Looking at our Starter plan first, for $10 more dollars than BombBomb’s basic plan, our “Pro” plan grants HD video recording from any device (on-screen or off), analytics tracking, up to 10,000 contact recipients per month, and customized branding for your video’s landing page, call-to-action buttons, and other management options.

Looking at the platforms head to head, here are the breakout differences between the two most price-comparable plans (BombBomb pricing vs Dubb pricing):

    • Contact List:
      • BombBomb: 3,500 contacts
      • Dubb: 10,000 contacts
  • Winner: Dubb
    • Analytics/Tracking:
      • BombBomb: No
      • Dubb: Yes
  • Winner: Dubb
    • Customizable Page Elements
      • BombBomb: No
      • Dubb: Yes
  • Winner: Dubb

To be honest, we aren’t trying to cherry pick features here, however, these are areas where both platforms are similar in features—at least on an elementary level.

Moving on to BombBomb’s Plus vs Dubb’s Pro Plus levels, the real differences begin to diverge more clearly.

The “Pro Plus” Plan

Again, it’s important to point out here that Dubb’s “Pro Plus” plan is $100 per month.

Its comparable equivalent from BombBomb is $588 per month.

And that’s a big discrepancy—particularly when we’re discussing BombBomb pricing vs Dubb pricing as it pertains to overall value.

But for the $100 per month, let’s first take a look at the features of Dubb’s “Pro Plus” plan.

At the price point of $100 per month, the “Pro Plus” plan offers a personal account manager, a 50,000-person contact list, phone support, custom integrations, scripts, and email templates, and additional API access.

Again, that’s all for approximately $100 per month.

If you want to equip your sales and customer service teams with the means to market themselves to prospects and start multiplying their sales, all you need to do is determine the size of your sales team and multiply it by one hundred.

In contrast, BombBomb’s “Plus” plan doesn’t offer the same perks but costs 5X more than other individual plans.

That’s a lot more money to get a lot less.

Additional Considerations

Dubb creators sit at a table and talk

Other than the differences in features we’ve discussed, there are other areas to consider when comparing the two video marketing platforms.

For example…

Integrations

Integrations simply refer to platform compatibility with other applications. For instance, one of Dubb’s integrations is YouTube, meaning that Dubb allows you to pull a video from YouTube and send it through the platform.

In the case of BombBomb, the platform sports 50+ integrations including Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, and SalesForce.

Dubb, on the other hand, offers 84.

Discounts and Special Offers

In measuring discounts and special offers, BombBomb gives a rate reduction of roughly 20% off for team subscriptions (two or more). Unfortunately, however, there are no discounts or deals on individual plans.

By now, you should know where this is going…

Take a look at Dubb’s pricing and you’ll see a 20% reduction in monthly fees on any account that subscribes annually—that’s for individuals and teams.

And finally…

The Final Verdict

When measuring value for value in when comparing BombBomb pricing vs Dubb pricing, you get more features with Dubb. From the added contact lists and custom landing pages, to the out-of-the-box analytics, even Dubb’s entry-level plan equips you with the tools you need to grow your business.

And thankfully, at a much lower cost.

We’re not here to knock BombBomb. After doing our own research, it’s no doubt a well-made video marketing platform. However, when it comes to BombBomb pricing vs Dubb pricing—particularly when evaluating the overall value of the latter’s added perks—we believe you’ll get the best bang for your buck with us.
